Two Indeco hammers in action capturing the energy of the wind
Ever since its foundation in 2012, Iberobras Construção Civil e Empreitadas Ltda, based in Natal (RN) with subsidiaries in Brazil’s northeastern states and Rio Grande do Sul in the south, has been working in the housing and wind energy sectors.
Today the company has built up a wealth of experience, with more than 1800 wind turbines in action, in various northeastern states such as Piauí, Ceará, Paraiba, Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte as well as the Rio Grande do Sul, the states with the highest density of windfarms.
Iberobras was commissioned by the governments of Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco to carry out the excavations needed to build the corridor of wind turbines, as well as a series of civil constructions for controlling the release of the energy. The works are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.
For the excavations in the igneous rock they used two Indeco hammers: an HP 3000 FS fitted to a John Deere JD 250G carrier and an HP 5000 FS mounted on a John Deere JD 350G.
“We were already familiar with Indeco products – the whole hydraulic hammer range, as well as the pulverizers and shears”, says Ricardo, jobsite manager at Iberobras Construção Civil e Empreitadas. “We went for Indeco products in part because of the efficiency and productivity of the equipment, but also because there are two dealerships close to the jobsites, and because of Indeco Brazil’s after-sales services”.
