Indeco Tools ensure timely demolition in Norwalk bridge emergency
Celebrating collaboration and high-performance equipment in ensuring rapid responses for roadway safety
In a recent emergency operation in Norwalk, Connecticut, our tools played a pivotal role in addressing a fire-damaged bridge on Interstate 95, the main north-south Interstate Highway on the East Coast of the United States, which needed to be swiftly removed in order to restore public safety.
The incident, caused by a tanker truck fire, posed significant challenges, prompting an immediate response from local authorities and contractors. Removal operations were carried out in record time thanks to the collaboration between Yonkers Contracting Company and Breeze Demolition: in less than two days, the bridge was dismantled, the area cleared, and safety restored, allowing the road to be reopened.
Key to the success of this operation were three of our high-performance hydraulic hammers: the HP 12000, HP 10000 and HP 7500 (corresponding to the European models HP 7000, HP 5000 and HP 4000). These tools, known for their reliability and efficiency, proved instrumental in safely and efficiently carrying out the demolition.
The project was supported by our long-time dealer Alessi Equipment Inc. of Mount Vernon, NY, who provided the necessary equipment and technical expertise.
Our thanks go to all our partners for making this rapid and efficient intervention possible: with Indeco tools, emergencies are handled with the utmost professionalism and timeliness.
